Shower Filter

A shower filter is a useful device for areas where there is contaminated water. It could be contaminated with a wide variety of chemicals which are, unfortunately, now found in water supplies around the world. This include chlorine, which can cause a wide variety of problems when it is vaporized in a hot shower, as well as heavy metals and other contaminants.

There are a wide variety different shower filter with varying levels of protection. Ideally all the water coming into the home should be purified for drinking, washing and other tasks but this can be expensive and is unfeasible in some situations. A good filter will provide a neutral pH as well as removing contaminants.

Some shower filters install quickly and easily directly in between the shower head and the wall outlet providing filtered water right at the tap. Other systems are installed further away such as right next to the hot water heater. The first system is less visually appealing and doesn’t last as long but is quite a bit cheaper.
