Shower Faucet
A shower faucet used to be simply a functional piece of bathroom hardware. Now they have evolved into a new forms and are often more stylish than functional on the highest end. They are no longer simple twist knobs only controlling the flow of water, now they almost always control the temperature as well but some have more features than that.
A typical shower faucet moves in four directions and is often a combination of chrome and plastic on the low end and almost any variety of material on the highest end. The four directions control the water pressure from off to full force and the other direction controls the water temperature from cold to hot.
Typically a shower faucet can easily be replaced. This is not the case with custom installations and wildly strange configurations. Having a plumber do the installation is always recommended although some faucets are very easy to replace at home with no special skills or instruction.
